TRAINING & FACILITATION SERVICES

Uproot plants seeds. We offer a variety of training opportunities to support your staff in their growth as both employees and individuals. We work diligently to create and facilitate curriculum for an experience that directly addresses your needs after a consultation. All of our workshops build your capacity and skills through action-oriented dialogue. They are typically designed around a 1.5 to 3 hour time frame, and can also be conducted as a training series. If you do not see a topic that interests you, please let us know and we can work with you to explore various opportunities that do meet your needs.

  • Train the Trainer: Learn the skills to become a facilitator of diversity and awareness yourself!

  • Diversity & Inclusion: Engage your staff in a workshop which invites difference and challenges folks to step out of their comfort zone.

  • Social Identity 101: Explore all the social dynamics that are impacting your workplace.

  • Leadership Training: Develop and implement leadership techniques that will amplify your voice and impact

  • Affinity Spaces: This teach-in style training relies on the knowledge and experience of your team in working together. From what is shared an approach to long term cultural shifts that lead to better work culture will be achieved.

 

CONSULTATION

Consultation work is about uprooting tools and skill-building for us. Throughout the consultation process, we will work with your organization to support you in whatever ways are needed, from developing an inclusive curriculum to creating affinity spaces for employees of yours who are of color, LGBTQ+, religious minorities, immigrants, etc. We are also able to work with you to troubleshoot and create a custom plan for your organization’s needs. We want to help you to build capacity and create a culture where inclusion is integral.

Strategic Planning and Capacity Building

Through tending to the soil, we can support your organization’s community in developing a sustainable plan to meet your needs. We believe that the creation and management of a healthy workplace culture, dialogic style, and centering impact of those most impacted by systems of oppression will allow us to work in conjunction as we identify short and long-term plans to strengthen your mission, vision, and work together.

 

EVALUATIONS & FUTURE RECOMMENDATIONS

We find the root of the issues relating to -isms and start there. If your organization is seeking support in building an approach to efficient and effective evaluation, a series of meetings with our trainers can diagnose, process, and work to remedy the problem at hand. We do this work in a variety of ways: interviews, focus groups, surveys, and are interested in finding something that works for you. We use evaluation methods that empower your organization to learn the process themselves.
